Lilia, her husband James, and their four children reside in Central Kentucky. Born as Lilia Neamtsu in 1981 in Bălți, Moldova, she entered the world in one of Europe’s poorest countries, both then and now.
Abandoned at the hospital immediately after her premature birth, weighing only 4 lbs 2 oz, Lilia spent her first three years within its walls before being transferred to an orphanage in the village of Cupcini.
This former military compound, home to approximately 800 children aged between three and sixteen, became her new reality until her adoption at 15, when she learned of her biological parents' supposed deaths.
Lilia’s early years were marked by poor nutrition, medical complications, and delayed physical development, leading to frequent hospital stays. Despite these hardships, her love for nature and art flourished, offering her sanctuary from the difficulties she faced. This passion provided not only an escape but also a deep, personal connection to the world around her.
Although exposed to Christianity in her teen years, it wasn’t until her early 20s that Lilia fully embraced her faith, being baptized and becoming a Christian. This pivotal moment ignited her aspiration to share her story through writing.
In 2005, at the age of 25, Lilia met James. Their introduction, facilitated by a colleague due to James’s interest in helping with the writing her autobiography, blossomed into a relationship marked by love, care, and a shared recognition of God’s grace. They married within the year. As their family grew and life intensified, Lilia’s writing ambitions were temporarily shelved.
Despite achieving a semblance of stability, Lilia’s childhood traumas lingered, prompting her to seek healing through various counseling methods, including the Murray Method in 2018, created by Marilyn Murray.
This journey of self-discovery rekindled her desire to connect with her biological roots. In September 2020, a DNA test unveiled her family’s whereabouts, leading to a heartfelt reunion in Moldova in 2023 with her biological mother, grandmother, two half-sisters, and an extended family she never dreamed existed.
This profound experience, coupled with continued prayer and reflection on God’s will, rapidly opened doors for Lilia to document the story the Lord had been writing in her life all along.
Today, she is passionate about sharing her stories, each one revealing divine interventions that helped her overcome severe adversity. Through her writings, Lilia acknowledges the omnipresent goodness of God in her life. Known for her cheerful disposition, she uplifts everyone she encounters with her singing, whistling, and unfailing optimism.
Her life, characterized by compassion, intuition, and a capacity for forgiveness, exemplifies the power of faith and the joy of being a child of God. Her story is a testament to hope, healing, and the transformative grace that guides her journey.
